Policies​

Do you swim reguarly? Use sunbeds / saunas / hot tub? Are you going on holiday before getting a tattoo/ top-up?



Deposits:

Once you have sent an email enquiry, details on how to pay your deposit will be sent to you; once paid your booking will be confirmed. Deposits are non-refundable and must be paid within 48 hours of receiving the appointment email.

Design Fee:

If you have not already booked an appointment and want to see a custom design drawn up before booking, I charge a small fee to create a design. This may only be done if you intend on booking. Custom designs created by Quil & Ink Tattoo may not be taken to other tattoo artists.

Health and Safety:

For health & safety and Insurance purposes, I may not be able to carry out a tattoo if any of the following apply to you:

  • Under 18-

***I do not accept parental permission

  • Pregnant/ breastfeeding

  • Epilepsy

  • Type 1 Diabetes-

  • Blood Disorders

  • Heart Disease

  • Hepatitis 

  • Skin disorders

  • Cancer-

***within 6 months after chemo

Please allow a two week period between any vaccinations and your tattoo appointment.

Prior to your Appointment:

  • It is not possible to make changes to tattoo designs within 48 hours of the appointment. 

  • A notice period of at least 48 hours must be given if you wish to change/cancel your appointment.

  • Please do not apply numbing cream as this can affect the way the ink is inserted into the skin.

  • If you feel unwell on the day of your appointment please do not attend and kindly notify me as soon as possible.

  • Alcohol and caffeine will dilute the blood which can affect the tattooing process so please do not consume either for 24 hours before your appointment.

  • Drink plenty of water and eat before your appointment, feel free to bring a drink and a snack.

  • Wear clothing that allows easy access to the area of your tattoo.  

  • Please do not bring children to your appointment/ contact in advance.

  • Please inform me in advance if you have allergies to plasters/adhesive products or coconut oil as these will be used as part of the aftercare.

On the day: 

During and after the tattooing process photos and/or videos may be taken for insurance and marketing purposes. Please inform me if you are uncomfortable with this. Please note that only the tattoo will be pictured and your identity will remain confidential.

You may view a copy of the consultation sheet that you will be required to fill out and sign on the day of your appointment.
